Market Report- Markets open higher. Sensex up 280 points

The benchmark indices were trading higher on August 26, as buying was seen among index heavyweights. At 9.24 am, Sensex rose by 0.35% or 281 points to 81,370. The Nifty gained 0.35% or 89 points to 24,912.

Rupee opened at 83.81/$ Vs August 23 close of 83.89/$.
