Vijay Tubes & Cones Pvt. Ltd.(VTCPL) incorporated as a private limited company has been promoted by the KAPURS. The KAPURS are engaged in textiles and various other activities for the past 4 decades. VTCPL was engaged in the manufacture of laminated paper containers for Defense Department and had been in the business for over 20 years. In view of the total dependence on the Defense Department orders, the company was unable to increase or expand its activities and business. Though the company had made good profits in the eighties in that line, later on it did not do well and incurred cast losses. The Kapur family being well versed in the field of exports of textiles with the experience gathered in the erstwhile Kidarnath Kishanchand Pvt. Ltd., in which they held a 50% stake, they decided to close the existing loss making activity and focus on the manufacture of quality fabrics for export. The company has since been approved as a 100% E.O.U. for the manufacture and export of textiles. With effect from 16th March, 1994 the name of the company has been changed from Vijay Tubes and Cones (P) Ltd. to VTC Industries (P) Ltd., and was later converted into a public limited company on 14th April, 1994. PRESENT BUSINESS OF THE COMPANY The company is engaged solely in the manufacture of quality grey fabrics for export. The company currently operates with 24 Sulzer Projectile Looms with its back process machinery from its premises at Nasik (MIDC, Satpur), manufacturing Plain and Drill Grey Cotton Fabric of wider widths. The company has an installed capacity of 24 looms and in terms of fabric production 49.84 lakh sq. meters. The machines used by the company are multi-width weaving machines capable of producing 2 or 3 webs at a time. The company procures yarn from the market as also procures cotton and gets job work done to manufacture yarn and undertakes only pre-weaving and weaving operations. 2000 - The Company has allotted 750000 Convertible Cumulative Redeemable preference shares to IDBI at part at a coupon rate of 11.35 per cent on preferential issue basis. 2001 - Preferential issue of 1,35,00,000 equity shares of Rs 10 each to the promoters of the company. 2005 -Company has splits its Face value of Shares from Rs 10 to Re 1 2006 -Ventura Textiles Ltd has informed that Shri Abhijit Rao erstwhile General Manager (Operations) is elevated to the Board as Executive Director of the Company w.e.f. November 01, 2006.
