We await official announcement by the company on recent price increases. In our view, hike in iron ore price clearly indicated deficit of iron ore in domestic market and is positive for sustained high profitability of NMDC and insulated it from likely higher royalty premium on its iron ore production. Post the increase in iron ore price, we expect domestic steel companies to hike steel price by Rs1,500-3,000/tonne (post hike of Rs4000-5000/tonne seen in first week of April 2021).
