Market Update- Sensex surges 1000 points, Nifty at 23,750

The benchmark was trading higher on November 19, tracking gains in global markets. All the sectoral indices were trading in the green. BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices were up by 2% each. At 12.32 pm, Sensex rose by 1.31% or 1010 points to 78,353. The Nifty gained 1.27% or 298 points to 23,751.
