Indian indices
The Indian markets closed April 24, 2025, trading session in the red zone. Profit booking was witnessed among majority of the sectors. Markets remained under pressure throughout the day. The fall was mainly due to volatility on the expiry day. The broader market too ended trade on a negative note. The BSE Midcap index slipped by 0.16% and BSE Smallcap index were down by 0.01%. At close, the Sensex was down 315.06 points or 0.39% at 79,801.43 The Nifty was down 82.25 points or 0.34% at 24,246.70.

Rupee ended at Rs. 85.26/$ against April 23 close of Rs. 85.42/$.
