I hope you and your family are well. I would like to inform you that we are planning to open up the head office (HO) of Sharekhan in Mumbai shortly. The situation in India’s financial capital has been improving, and the state government has come up with relaxations and plans to start unlocking the city. It has already opened up the lifeline of Mumbai, the local trains, for all people who have received both doses of vaccination against COVID-19. We have evaluated the situation and feel the time is right to cautiously start the unlock process at our HO. Accordingly, we have devised an unlocking plan to be implemented in a phased manner from September onwards.

HO unlock plan

• Starting from the next month, ie September 2021, a maximum of 400 staff, distributed proportionately in all four HO locations, will be allowed to work from office (WFO). Currently, the headcount of WFO staff in Mumbai HO is around 140.
• Starting from today until August 26, 2021, we will gather data for the unlock plan from all departments in the four HO locations. The format for collecting the data will be shared with the HODs.
• The staff identified by the Head of Departments (HODs) and approved by the management will be intimated by the Human Resources (HR) department separately. These staff will resume working from office with effect from Monday, September 6, 2021.
• The criteria for selection of employees who will be allowed to come and work from office are given below and must be strictly followed:
  • Employees who are allowed to travel by train, ie employees who have taken both their COVID-19 vaccination shots
  • Employees who can self-drive
• Critical employees will continue with the current arrangement for transport till the end of September 2021.
• Bus transportation services provided on the ongoing routes will be maintained till the end of September 2021 and then be reviewed.
• HODs must ensure that their teams work in split mode so that business continuity is maintained at all times.
• All other COVID-19 protocols, like wearing of proper mask, maintaining social distancing, sanitising hands frequently, getting temperature checked at the time of entering the office and obtaining one-time sign-offs of the HOD, Head of HR, Head of Administration and Director before resuming work from office will need to be adhered to at all times.

The management will evaluate the situation towards the end of September 2021 and keep you updated.

Branch Network status

More than 80% of Sharekhan’s branches have opened up and are operating with 50% capacity (up to 70% in small branches). There has been no change in the current process. The Branch Network situation will also be reviewed towards the end of September 2021.
