AVOID ACCOUNT LOCKING Update Nominee Details (or Opt Out of Nomination) in just 5 minutes

Dear Customer,

They say, “A stitch in time, saves nine.”

Similarly, “A Nominee assigned in time, saves 3 days of being locked out of your Sharekhan account!”

Since this is a Regulator-mandated change and you’re yet to update your Nominee details or opt out of Nomination, we’re constrained to lock your account for trading within 30 days of your receiving this email.

Once your account is locked, you WILL NOT BE ABLE TO:

  • Make any transaction from your demat account
  • Square off any existing position from your demat account
  • If you’re a Mutual Fund holder with Sharekhan, you won’t be able to continue with ongoing SIP/Lump sum investments OR send any redemption requests

How to update your Nominee

We’ve simplified the steps to update a Nominee/s:

  1. Simply click this link.
  2. If you’re not logged in, the system will ask you to log in. Please do so.
  3. Once logged in, you will see that your Trading Profile window is open and the option to update Nominee is visible on the bottom-left side of your screen.
  4. Click the ADD/EDIT NOMINEE button.

If your account is locked, it will take 48-72 working hours to unlock your account after your update a Nominee or opt out of Nomination.
