Jean-Christophe Gougeon
Chief Marketing Officer
Jean-Christophe Gougeon is the Chief Marketing Officer of Sharekhan and serves on the company’s board of directors, reporting to CEO Jaideep Arora. He is responsible for planning, developing and executing the company’s marketing and advertising initiatives. He supports the business strategically by developing products, channels and campaigns as well as by providing client insights based on qualitative research and data analytics.
Jean-Christophe returned to Sharekhan in May 2019 to lead Investment Solutions, Brand & Communications and Public Relations functions, after a short stint at BNP Paribas Personal Investors, France as Head of Business Expertise. During his first assignment in Sharekhan from October 2015 to December 2017, he successfully implemented a savings and investments diversification strategy with main focus on mutual funds and life insurance; formulated a brand-building strategy; spearheaded the successful “Sharekhan Kar” advertising campaign; set up the Investment Solutions, Brand & Communications and Public Relations departments; and served on the company’s board of directors.
Jean-Christophe has over 36 years of experience in the financial services industry. He has a great insight into the mind of the Indian consumer from his previous assignments in India as the Director of Marketing & Communication and B2B Partnerships at Geojit BNP Paribas Financial Services India from 2007 to 2009.
Jean-Christophe holds a postgraduate diploma in Business, Administration and Finance from Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Clermont–Ferrand, France. He also earned a diploma in wood and bio–sourced materials from Ecole Technique du Bois.
Jean-Christophe is a big fan of everything retro. A vintage car aficionado, he does not miss any opportunity to attend a vintage car show; owns a xx model of a Rajdoot motorcycle; and dreams of starting an online antique store someday.
