He conceived and launched TradeTiger, an advanced desktop trading platform, in 2007. Jaideep Arora
Chief Executive Officer
Jaideep Arora is the Chief Executive Officer of Sharekhan and serves on the company’s board of directors. He is responsible for the overall management of the company and is leading the company into its next phase of growth through the implementation of Vision 2025. He also directly manages a few functions including IT Security, Internal Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility. He presides over the Business Executive Committee and Executive Committee.
Prior to his appointment as CEO in November 2016, he drove the company’s transition from a promoter-led entity to a fully professionally-run private equity company between October 2005 and October 2016. He is one of the founding leaders of the company and has been defining its technology vision and strategy for the past 23 years -- he conceived and launched TradeTiger, an advanced desktop trading platform, in 2007; and built the entire technology set-up of Sharekhan, giving it a competitive edge over the other players in the stock broking industry.
Before joining Sharekhan in June 2000, Jaideep had spent nine years in ICICI Securities, where he had successfully built the online trading platform of the company, ICICI Direct; and set up the Institutional Brokerage Desk. With over 32 years of experience in the financial service industry, he has intimate knowledge of the financial markets which he combines with his passion for technology to innovate for the benefit of customers.
Jaideep holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and a postgraduate diploma in Business Management from Indian Institute of Management Kolkata.
A fitness enthusiast, Jaideep runs 10km a day three to four
times a week, used to be a regular at the Mumbai Marathons
in the past and has inspired many a Sheru with his fitness and discipline. Reading non-fiction, solving math puzzles, trekking and travelling are his other interests.
