Dear All,
It gives me a lot of pleasure to announce Aaj ki Party Meri Taraf Se, an exciting new mutual fund (MF) contest for the Relationship Managers (RMs) of the Sharekhan One segment; the RMs of the Super Trader segment; the Investment Specialists (ISs) and Senior ISs of the Super Investor segment; and the Customer Relationship Executives (CREs) of the Retail segment of Sharekhan.
As the name indicates, it is a contest with a difference as the manner of rewarding the winners is going to be unique this time around. Each winner will be given a substantial budget for throwing a celebration party for his or her teammates and other colleagues of his or her choice. So instead of the Head Office (HO) team organising the celebration party for the winners, this time the winners will be given a chance to celebrate their achievements in their own way. We believe the initiative will result in increased team bonding and more fun for the winning teams.
I look forward to full participation from the targeted front-line teams and some extraordinary performances too. I expect each of you to give your hundred per cent to the contest and be ready to party with equal enthusiasm should you win. All the details of the contest are mentioned below, it is important that you read and understand the eligibility criteria, terms and conditions well before participating in the contest.
Eligibility criteria
- You must have valid NISM and EUIN certifications.
- You must achieve at least 100% of your MF GES LS target for the contest period through the schemes specified for the contest period.
- Your Net Equalised Sales Lump Sum (NES LS) should be positive during the contest period.

^In case there is no qualifier or there are very few qualifiers from any of the above roles, the reward and recognition will be provided to the next best in the other roles on the basis of the highest percentage of the target achievement during the contest period.
Eligible schemes
- Tata Large & Mid Cap Fund – Regular Plan
- Invesco India MidCap Fund Growth
- UTI Value Opportunities Fund
- 360 One Flexicap Fund (NFO period)
- HDFC Non-Cyclical Consumer Fund (NFO period)
Contest terms
- Asset mobilisation in any other scheme, unless specified, will not be considered for calculating the achievement (in percentage terms) for this contest.
- The Product team will conduct training through conference calls and support for client events to ensure delivery of the theme.
- The NFOs will be added to the list of eligible schemes after confirmation from the Asset Products team.
- The Super Investor team shall provide MIS support on a daily basis.
- The top performers shall be selected on the basis of the target achievement in percentage terms. We intend to announce additional seats depending upon the overall business performance in these schemes.
- Each winner shall be given a budget of Rs.10,000 to have a lunch or dinner party with his/her team members or colleagues of their choice.
- The Branch Heads/Group Heads shall vet the invitee list for each party.
Business conditions
- The business mobilised from all DPMS-mapped clients will be considered for contest achievement.
- Offline deals done with non-Sharekhan clients shall be considered on the basis of the employee code provided in the CIS. You must ensure all such entries are updated in the CIS.
- Credit at branch and segment levels shall be provided on the basis of the branch code and tagging details.
- Transaction eligibility: Only lump sum transactions will be considered.
- All offline business under ARN-20669 will be considered.
- Any withdrawals from these schemes prior to the contest reward will result in a change of achievement numbers/disqualification of the contestant that will face such a withdrawal.
- Any business executed with NAV date after the contest period will NOT be considered.
- This budget from the AMCs must be utilised in full coordination with the Asset Products team at the HO to ensure that they are fully aware/informed.
- This type of budget must be utilised 100% in line with the Sharekhan Code of Conduct and in 100% cashless/non-cash equivalent manner.
- These local budgets cannot be used to generate any additional income for the teams.
- Only NISM certified staff holding valid EUIN shall be invited to the party. This condition is applicable for ALL ROLES EXCEPT Group Heads, Cluster Heads, Zonal Heads and Segment Heads.
Sales quality and gaming checks
The HO team reserves the right to disqualify any contestant if any evidence is found that he or she indulged in gaming during the contest or in the previous contests or as part of the normal course of business.
Some examples of poor sales quality and gaming include:
- If a large portion of business happens in the last few days of the contest period for any individual contributor (ie holding back of business);
- If there is a significant and/or unexplained change in the mapped list of clients of the individual contributor; and
- If there is evidence of sharing/loaning/gifting of business between two individuals.
In case of any disputes, I will take the final decision.
