24*7 COVID Support Helpdesk

Dear all,

Our thoughts are with all of you and your family members who have been impacted by COVID-19. Several of you have reached out to your managers and HR Business Partners (HRBP) seeking assistance in finding hospital beds, ambulance services, reaching out to the local authorities etc. This has also meant that many of you contact multiple people in times of need. To simplify this effort, we are introducing a COVID SUPPORT HELPDESK, which will be your single point of contact for support and coordination on various aspects when you or your family is affected. Your HRBP will extend support as required jointly with the helpdesk.

This facility is currently available for employees located in eight cities (Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi – National Capital Region, Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Pune). For all other cities, the process of seeking assistance from the HRBPs and local managers continue.

Internal Covid Support Helpdesk (24X7)

Scope: Employee and defined dependants i.e. spouse, children, parents, parents-in-law, and siblings.

THE HELPDESK WILL THE HELPDESK WILL NOT
  • guide you and facilitate registration with local authorities.
  • coordinate for RTPCR tests
  • coordinate on Ambulance Services
  • coordinate on calling hospitals to check availability for beds or ICU. This service will be on best effort basis based on response from and availability of hospitals
  • coordinate on isolation centres on best effort basis based on response from and availability of the isolation centre
  • coordinate on oxygen units on best effort basis based on availability
  • provide you access to the group Doctor-on-call (in house Doctor) for any advice you may require
  • guarantee:
    • hospital bed admission or ICU admission
    • isolation centres
    • oxygen help
  • provide any medical advice or solution.
  • undertake or make any payments on your behalf
  • coordinate for Doctor appointments. Advice sought will be of your own volition
  • be responsible for taking appointment for vaccines
  • provide any advance payment/cash or any transaction to the ambulance or the hospital for admissions
  • facilitate any insurance claims at the time of admission or prior to or post admission
  • employee’s friends, neighbours, extended family (e.g. uncle, aunt, cousin) or anyone apart from the dependents mentioned above

Employee’s obligations:

  • Must inform their HRBP if COVID+ even if they do not require support. Employees who are not positive but in quarantine must also inform their HRBP. This is to help HR consolidate the number of cases and follow through any contact tracing.
  • Must be willing to share personal data to the helpdesk (which is a third party agency) as required for the support and provide consent to the helpdesk (which is a third party agency) to use data as may be required to provide the service.
  • To keep in mind that the service is on best effort basis and cannot be guaranteed.
